Anegada - Activities

Day Trips

Salt Island

Salt Island, BVI

Salt Island contains three traditional salt ponds which you can visit. The island is most famous for the RMS Rhone, an incredibly preserved sunken shipwreck. This wreck is a must-see for scuba enthusiasts who come from all over the world to experience this dive.

Norman Island

Norman Island, BVI

An incredible snorkeling destination, Norman Island is a popular place to drop anchor. Legend says buried treasure can be found in one of the many island caves. The island is supposedly the basis for Robert Louis Stevenson's novel Treasure Island. Visit the Willy T, which is a lively restaurant/bar located on a boat in the middle of the water. Just off Norman Island are The Indians, large rock formations similar to an Indian headdress, which make for good snorkeling, as well.

History & Nature

Loblolly Bay Beach

Loblolly Beach is a gorgeous stretch of white sand beach on the north shore of Anegada. This is arguably the best beach on the island for snorkeling. Swim over the reefs to explore the colorful angel fish, parrot fish and natural coral. There are a few small caves and a wreck to view, as well. Loblolly Beach is also an excellent spot for beachcombing. Walk the long beach to collect beautiful shells and view the island flora and fauna.
